Do you want to learn to dance online, with or without a partner, in the privacy of your own home, at a pace that suits you?

In these challenging times, getting into the 5th Avenue Dance’ Gold Coast dance studio can be a bit challenging for some so we have created these online lessons for both our current students or for those who just want to learn to dance.

No previous dance experience necessary!

We use a system that has taught the world to dance for more than 100 years.

We have different levels to suit all, however if you’re not a current 5th Avenue Dance student, we suggest that you start with Level 1.

Explanation of Standards

Level 1 – Social Ease

Social Ease (Pre Bronze)
The ability to dance to any music, with any partner. Be in time, be balanced. Have the ability to talk while you dance. You are Socially at Ease on the Dance Floor, with limited “style”.

Social Ease is a stand alone standard.
It is also where we lay down the foundations for Bronze, Silver or Gold if any of these becomes your ultimate goal.

Dances included: Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Rumba, Cha Cha, Swing

Level 2 – 5 BRONZE
Think Social Ease with more great steps and variations, all with Movement and Style

Dances included: Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Rumba, Cha Cha, East Coast Swing.

Plus: West Coast Swing, Samba, Mambo, Merengue, Salsa, Argentine Tango, Hustle, Bolero, Viennese Waltz, Paso Doble

Level 2 – Preliminary Bronze
Easy Steps with an Introduction to Style and Technique

Level 3 – Intermediate Bronze
Harder Steps, giving time to Polish, Develop and Introduce 90% of all technique and elements used in Ballroom and Latin Dancing

Level 4 – Senior Bronze
Showy Steps – by this time Level 1 and Level 2 Steps have full Style, Technique and Movement

Level 5 – Final Bronze
Great Steps – Final Polish to Style and Technique
Giving the time necessary to make sure all Steps , have full Style, Technique and Movement

Each video concentrates on ONE element with could be: Partnership, Style, Timing, or Balance
