Maki Sato – Dance Instructor
Maki Sato has been a student of Social Dance since August 1998. Starting out as a student at Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Sydney, Australia.

Maki Sato as a student performed a showcase exhibition and attended a National Competition held with the Fred Astaire Dance Studios organization in Australia and fell in love with dancing and all it had to offer.
In April of 1999 an opportunity to compete in a Fred Astaire Dance Studios International Pro-Am event held at Las Vegas was taken up by Maki, with some spectacular results.
These results included many 1st places, some 2nd places, and many Honors and Outstanding results when judged as a standard of dance. The best thing that came from this event for Maki and all her future students, wasβ¦β¦
Maki Sato was so inspired by seeing 100βs of Fred Astaire Dance Studio teachers and 1000βs of students dancing over a 5 Day event, that, upon returning to Australia, she trained to become a Fred Astaire Dance Studio professional. We welcomed her to the teaching profession in May of 1999.
As a teacher within Fred Astaire Dance Studio, she earned many National βtop teacherβ awards. And was awarded the coveted βBest Choreography of a Showcase Exhibitionβ in 2003 at the National Competition within the Fred Astaire Organization in Australia.
Maki Sato opened 5th Avenue Dance on the Gold Coast, in 2004. Where she and her partner have forged a great reputation, and are now known as the premium dance studio on the Gold Coast.
The method and system used at 5th Avenue Dance is that used by Fred Astaire Dance Studios.
Fred Astaire Dance Studio have taught the world to dance since 1947.
